My review of Wild Fury by Lindsay Cross

Tomi Tomlin works for multimillionaire businessman Luis Despasco has a nanny for his son, Rafael. When she forgets her passport before heading to Mexico with her best friend Carrie she stumbles upon the truth about how Luis makes his money and she is taken captive by him and he plans to sell her in his auction.

Cole Fury is a former Navy Seal and now runs Fury Security with his brothers. When working undercover he spots his ex-girlfriend Tomi on stage and he knows that he needs to get her out of there.

But soon Tomi and Cole find themselves revisiting the past and Cole must earn Tomi's trust if he is to learn the truth about why she was there. But will Cole's foray into BDSM scare Tomi off? Can Cole and Tomi work together to bring Luis down or will she go off on her own risking her own life when she decides Cole can't be trusted?

This book was such a great beginning to the new series by Ms.Cross! I loved her other series and this one is just as good but may not appeal to everyone with the characters being into BDSM. That being said I personally loved it and can't wait for more!

Tomi was such a great character but I could understand why they really needed to figure out how and if she was involved with Luis's business. I can't imagine discovering your boss was into sex trafficking and how worried Tomi was about Rafael and Carrie.

I liked Cole and although he knew what he was risking he had to get Tomi out of there. It was obvious how much they underestimated some of his opponents though and I crossed my fingers that everything would be okay with Adam Wise.

It was pretty obvious how much Cole and Tomi still cared about each other but they each had to deal with everything on their own to a certain degree. Their scenes together were hot and the scene with Clint and Carter was pretty intense.

I was so mad at a certain character for all his evil and twisted games that put everyone in danger by double crossing everyone. He definitely got what he deserved in the end.

The book leaves off with a bit of a cliffhanger as he still don't know if Carrie is ok and whether Cole's man got to her in time.

Love this new series and can't wait for more!

5 Stars
