My review of Darien's Desire (Two Hearts One Love, #2) by Daryl Devore

This is the second book in the series and book 1, One Night in Bangkok, needs to be read first.

Erika Bailey is the manager of a drag queen club in Bangkok and is in a relationship with Darien Scott, a rockstar currently residing in North Carolina.

The distance between the two has begun to take a toll on the two of them and they are no longer as strong as they once were. Then when Erika's dad blackmails into choosing between the club and Darien she knows that maybe their love was not meant to be after all.

But maybe time and distance really have a way of making you see what's important in the end.

I liked this book but at times I found it jumped around too much and almost rushed through certain parts.

Erika was in love with Darien but the distance between them was making her jealous and she was losing control of how she felt. I was so confused with who her dad was and I must have missed a reference to why he played such a role. I understood that he was financially backing Erika and the club but I didn't know why his name was important.

The part with Erika's cell was interesting but I couldn't understand why she just didn't get a second phone to help her out when she knew things were going weird with the first one. Especially once Brian and Darien knew something weird was going on with it.

Darien remained true to Erika and I understood why he was frustrated that their plans seemed to constantly go awry. It did bug me that Erika had so little faith in him when he never did anything to prove that he was cheating. I was super mad when Erika still let Darien leave after Aiden showed up in Bangkok.

I was happy with the end but there are still questions that remain unanswered with the list so I am not sure of the author will be writing another one to conclude everything.
