Lilly-Rose McCarthy is in an abusive relationship with Dave and is struggling to leave until her sister Abbey gets her to come home to Spokane. Lilly is continually looking over her shoulder waiting for Dave to find her again but she finds a safe place to live with her childhood crush, Lennox Love who has an apartment she can rent.
Depserate to reclaim her life she gets a job and begins to get close again to Lennox, who is also known as Sergeant Eastwood. Yet it is clear that Lilly is not out of danger yet and when Lennox feels like he has failed her, he pushes her away.
Will Lilly be able rebuild her heart after feeling betrayed again?
I thought this story was a beautiful story of reclaiming what was lost and getting stronger because of it. Lilly was in such a bad relationship yet she feared so much for her life that she was unable to leave and heal herself.
Lennox was such a great and patient guy who expected too much from himself and when he believed that he failed he pushed everyone away. The other characters in the book, like Abbey, Matt and Logan were all incredible and so supportive!
Such a great book and I can't wait to read more from this author!
