Cover Reveal - Deliverance by Jane Henry

He’s bred to protect.

Tobias Creed likes things done his way, and he likes his women ready to submit. No strings attached. Until the night he meets the one woman who challenges him, practically begging to be taken over his knee.

As a single mom to a child with special needs, Diana McAdams does things her way. She’s in control and doesn't have time for love. Happily-ever-afters aren’t for her.

Then she meets the man who demands her submission...

Jane has been writing since her early teens, dabbling in short stories and poetry. When she married and began having children, her pen was laid to rest for several years, until the National Novel Writing Challenge (NaNoWriMo) in 2010 awakened in her the desire to write again. That year, she wrote her first novel, and has been writing ever since. With a houseful of children, she finds time to write in the early hours of the morning, squirreled away with a laptop, blanket, and cup of hot coffee. Years ago, she heard the wise advice, “Write the book you want to read,” and has taken it to heart. She sincerely hopes you also enjoy the books she likes to read.

My review of Cold As Ice by Piper Rayne

Grady Kale is headed to the Winter Classics in snowboarding where he is the reigning gold medal champion.

Mia Salter is an up and coming female snowboarder who just happens to be the sister of Grady's ex-best friend, Brandon, who happens to hate Grady.

When Grady and Mia are forced to go on a press tour together, things begin to heat up between the two of them but will their past cause problems between them?

This was such a great and fun book about overcoming mistakes and family issues to perhaps have a future together.

I liked Grady and knew that there was definitely something that happened in the past that he had guilt over regarding Brandon and I knew it had to be big. As the book goes on you learn more and figure it all out but with the way "boys" compete you knew deep down that it was something that was just a freak accident.

I liked Mia and understood why they felt deserted after the accident but I could see the guilt that Grady felt. Mia and Grady had so much chemistry you knew something was bound to happen and I loved the way that it all went down.

There was so much tension at the family dinner that I knew things were about to go sideways! I loved the conversation that Grady had with Matt Peterson to figure things out!

The end was awesome and I look forward to the next book!

My review of Undefeated by Stuart Reardon and Jane Harvey-Berrick

Nick Renshaw is finally achieving his dreams of moving up in the rugby world until an injury to his Achilles threatens to destroy everything he has worked hard to obtain. Now he struggles to hold onto his relationship with his fiance Molly and his rehabilitation after his surgery that threatens all of his dreams.

Dr.Anna Scott has moved to England for a fresh start after a scandal almost costs her her PhD to become a sports psychologist. Now she has rules firmly in place not to get involved in any relationship that will cost her what she has finally achieved. Now she is working with injured players Nick Renshaw and Dave Parks on their rehabilitation programs.

When an event takes place that thrusts Nick into negative spotlight will Anna help Nick's case? When things turn between Nick and Anna will it cost them each everything they have worked so hard to obtain?

Wow - this book was so much more than I was honestly expecting. I had read books by Jane Harvey-Berrick before and loved them so I knew that this one was going to be good but I was surprised at how good this one really was! I was gripped from beginning to end and there were so many twists and turns that I really didn't see coming although I never counted them out.

Nick had finally began to achieve some of his rugby dreams when his Achilles threatened to destroy everything. I was surprised at his relationship with Molly in that they appeared so different from each other but it was clear that he was going to try and make it work with her. I felt bad with his rehabilitation process and everything that came from there.

I really liked Anna and felt bad with what she had gone through in her past. She had gotten herself into a bad situation with Jonathan and she was in over her head with what had happened. Anna was desperate for a new start and I liked that she had her priorities straight.

I was kind of expecting what Nick walked into but not with who. I wasn't surprised at all that he went crazy and what happened because of it. I hated that the other two totally got away with what they had done and how the one leaked their story first so that Nick was so black balled. So frustrating!

Then with the events that happened next with Anna just completely broke my heart!! I was so upset at what Molly caused and everything that spiraled out of control. It is so unfair at what can happen and how people are presumed guilty and the fact there is no repercussions for someone like Molly where as Anna lost everything!

The ending was great and I really hope that these two collaborate again!!

A powerful contemporary romance set in the fast-moving world of international rugby.

When your world crashes down
When they all say you’re out
When your body is broken
I will rise.
I will return.
And I will be undefeated.

Nick Renshaw is the golden boy of British rugby. When a serious injury threatens his career, he starts to spiral downwards, a broken man.
Feeling abandoned and betrayed by those closest to him, he fights to restart his life. Maybe there’s someone out there who can help him. Maybe he can find his way back toward the light. Maybe … not.
Dr. Anna Scott might be the one person who can help Nick, but she has her own secrets. And when Nick’s past comes back to haunt them both, the enigmatic doctor is more vulnerable than she seems.
Broken and betrayed, the struggle to survive seems intolerable. Who will give in, and who will rise, undefeated?

It’s been noticed,” she began carefully, “that you’re not engaging with the team or … or with me during my teaching sessions.”

His lips pressed together and his scowl deepened.

“Look, I know this is all kinds of awkward,” she sighed, “but your behaviour is already giving Sim concerns. It’s making him wonder about your commitment to the team.”

Nick exploded, his anger filling the space as he leapt to his feet and began to pace up and down, hands scrubbing over his face roughly.

“He’s questioning my commitment?! I train harder than anyone! I train on my off-days,” he spat furiously, his voice tight with emotion.

“Nick…”

“I’m out there, slogging my fucking guts out harder and longer than anyone else during practices!”

“Nick…”

“I’ve fought to come back from injury. I’m fit! I’m ready! I…”

“NICK!” Anna slapped her hand down on the massage table. “Will you listen to me!”

His jaw snapped shut and his stormy eyes narrowed on hers.

“Sim didn’t see that commitment during my sessions.”

“And we both know why that is,” he sneered. “You don’t want any commitment from me.”

Anna’s eyebrows shot up and Nick looked as though he was already regretting his words. He took a deep breath and looked away while Anna chose her next words carefully.

“You assured me that you could be professional and…”

“Yeah, well excuse me if seeing you again is fucking with my head! Not everyone can be as cold and calculating as you!”

She knew she deserved his anger, but her own frustration was rising to meet his. The volcanic pressure inside started to build, searching for an exit, searching for weakness.

“I cannot have any sort of relationship with a client!” she hissed, her body rigid. “You know that!”

“Didn’t stop you before,” he taunted.

“You weren’t a client then,” she choked. “But you’re right—I should have stopped. Oh boy, am I regretting it now!”

And she tossed her clipboard onto the table, pointing a finger in his face.

“Are you trying to ruin this for me? Is that what this is? Your ego can’t bear it, so you’re going to make sure I lose this contract? Or maybe ruining my reputation forever will settle the score. You tell me, Nick! What do you want from me?”

She was breathing rapidly, and two points of colour marked her cheeks in an otherwise chalky complexion.

He spun around, prowling toward her, his jaw clenched, his hands balled into fists.

“What do I want? I want to fuck you so hard you’ll never forget it’s my cock that’s been inside you. I want you screaming my name. I want you to say it wasn’t a mistake. I want to make you come so hard you pass out. That’s what I want, Anna, and it’s fucking killing me to not even touch you!”

Jane Harvey-Berrick

I enjoy watching surfers at my local beach, and weaving stories of romance in the modern world, with all its trials and tribulations.
It’s been the best fun working with Stu on this story. And yes, he did think about joining the Marines once.

Blake Porter was one of the lucky ones. She’d met the man she was going to marry while she was in high school. She thought she was living a fairytale; the nerdy wannabe journalist dating the gorgeous star quarterback. One wrong move proved to irrevocably alter the course of their lives.

Betrayed by the girl he loved, Levi McCoy left for the Army and never looked back. Blake’s deception pierced his soul and shattered his heart. He used the pain to his advantage and became cold and calculating - the perfect Black Ops soldier.

With bombs exploding, blood being spilled, and the terrorists closing in, they both battle the memories of their beautiful beginnings and shared history. Levi and Blake face off in a showdown of wills. In one corner, Levi is determined not to fall for the woman he’s never stopped loving. In the other, Blake tries to hold on to her self-respect and not beg Levi to hear the truth.

I may look like the boy next door, but if you mess with someone I care about, I’ll become your worst fucking nightmare.
Ellie:
I never dreamed that I’d end up at a motorcycle club, especially one as notorious as the Satan’s Fury MC, but that’s exactly where I’d found myself. They were supposed to be vicious, cold-blooded killers, but after an accident that nearly took my life, they opened their doors to me, treating me with nothing but kindness.
I was damaged, broken beyond repair, but one man, one tough-as-nails biker, saw past all my scars. With his sinful good looks and intoxicating, green eyes, he could turn the head of any woman, but for me, it was his heart that drew me in.
Diesel:
I should’ve kept my distance, kept my guard up, but Ellie Blackwell had me feeling things I’d never felt before—good things, really fucking good things. There was no way in hell that I was gonna walk away from that. It might’ve been a mistake to get wrapped up in her when there were so many unknowns surrounding her past, but in my gut, I knew she was the one.
I didn’t care what obstacles stood in my way, I was going to make her mine.
