My review of Quest of a Warrior (Legends of the Fenian Warriors, Book 1) by Mary Morgan

Conn MacRoich is a fae warrior and also by birth a prince. Yet he gave up his title to be part of the Brotherhood. But he made some mistakes and now has to pay for them by convincing a woman the light of her gift before they both die and he must do it without any of his own powers.

Ivy O'Callaghan has just inherited a bookstore and property from her uncle in Ireland. She has never met him before and doesn't understand why he left everything to her. Both of her parents have died and she decides to head to Ireland for a new beginning.

But when Ivy arrives in Ireland she is faced with many mysteries involving her own past and her own destiny. Will she be able to come to terms with everything she is faced with?

I really enjoyed this book and it was much more than I was expecting.

There were so many twists involving Ivy's past and everything fell into place and made perfect sense and didn't seem overdone. Ivy had visions from a young age and it was interesting that her mom understood them but needed her to keep them a secret from her dad. Personally I loved that she inherited a bookstore from her uncle and I wish I was that lucky! She had so much to deal with that I can understand why she felt overwhelmed with all the news she received.

Conn was great! I loved how he knew right away that he wanted to be with Ivy and was going to protect her at all costs. Yet he had to be careful as to not reveal too much right away and frighten her away. Yet when it came to saving her life he was willing to do whatever it took - no matter what the cost was to him.

I loved the interesting characters that Ivy became friends with in Ireland and how everyone brought something different to their respective friendships with Ivy.

The ending was great and I look forward to more books in this series!
