My review of The Compendium by Christine Hart

This is the second book in the series and book one In Irina's Cards needs to be read first.

Irina Proffer and her variant friends are on the run from her father, Ivan Krylov and his company Innoviro. As her and her brother Ilya begin to piece together what her father is working on they begin a journey from Vancouver to Seattle in order to see what he is working on next.

When it is clear that her father is planning on setting off an earthquake in San Francisco the group must work together to stop it. Yet it seems like her father's henchmen are always one step ahead and could somebody they trust be working against them?

I enjoyed this book and it was interesting to see how the group worked together to get out of situations, relying on each of their strengths with their variants.

Irina pushes Jonah away as she is worried that her strength decreases that of Jonah and the two must figure out a way for Jonah to remain safe. The group definitely has a lot of battles still ahead of them.

It's super interesting to see how the author adapts the variants and the ideas that she comes up with for Ivan. They are different and it'll be great to see how everything goes down in the next book!
