It was only meant to be a one-night fling for Bryce and Hayden, but when one night wasn’t enough, they agreed to seven more.
A week was all it took for the shy florist and the ruggedly handsome rig worker to know they needed more.
It seemed simple enough, but the danger lurking in the shadows threatened their future.
They hoped to have forever, but they found out the hard way forever wasn’t as easy as it seemed.

DL Gallie is from Queensland, Australia, but she’s lived in many different places all over the world, including the UK and Canada. She currently resides in Central Queensland with her husband and two munchkins. She and her husband have been together since she was sixteen, and although they drive each other crazy at times, she couldn’t imagine her life without him.
Shortly after her son was born, DL began reading again. With encouragement from her husband, she picked up the pen and started writing, and now the voices in her head won’t shut up.
DL enjoys listening to music, drinking white wine in the summer, red wine in the winter, and beer all year round. She’s also never been known to turn down a cocktail, especially a margarita.

“What a fucking weirdo. Isn’t he the guy from last night too?”
“Yeah, he is. If I didn’t have to use him I’d use someone else. He gives me the heebie-jeebies.”
Danny jumps in, “Forget heebie-jeebies, B, he’s a full on whack job. Let’s just hope he’s fixed it this time, and then we don't have to see him ever again.”
“Here’s hoping,” I reply, turning to Hayden I ask, “What are you doing here?”
“I just wanted to pop by and see Vancouver’s hottest florist.”
From behind us, Danny makes a vomiting sound. “I’ll leave you two lovebirds to it. B, I’m going to head to the market and place our order and bring back some beauties.”
“You are a gem, Danny. Thanks heaps.”
“I know.” He smirks at me. “Laters guys.” With a wave over his shoulder, he heads out and leaves Hayden and me alone. The door closes behind him and I turn to Hayden. “I’m glad you popped by.”
“Me too, but I actually came by to see what time you finish tonight? I’m planning an epic evening for us, and I need to know what time so it’s all perfect.”
“I can finish anytime I want. Perks of being the boss, but I normally finish around fiveish.”
“That’s perfect then. I will pick you up from your place at 6:00 p.m. As it starts at 6.30 p.m.”
“What does?”
“If I tell you, it won’t be a surprise. Dress casually.” He steps toward me, and stares deep into my eyes. When I’m with Hayden, everything feels perfect. Everything else fades away and it’s just us. “Can’t wait ‘til tonight. Have a great day.” He bends down and kisses me deeply, before pulling away and leaving.
I'm left standing in the middle of my shop with a goofy grin on my face. Hayden makes me feel special in the most amazing way. I’ve never felt like this with anyone before.
