My review of Conviction by Jane Henry

Braxton Cannon is a Dom who has just recently become a Private Investigator while also working as a Dungeon Master inside Club Verge, a BDSM club. He also shares a daughter, Devin with his ex Nichole.

Zoe McKay is not really into BDSM but is brought there with her close friend Beatrice who is a member of Club Verge. Zoe is a police officer and she knows that her last boyfriend, fellow cop Ben Hoffman was a dirty cop although she had no way of proving it.

When Braxton sees Zoe he knows he wants to have her but he needs to tread carefully as she is reluctant to get into this "lifestyle". But soon he and Zoe discover that someone is after her and Braxton will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.

Can Braxton keep Zoe safe?

This was another good read in the series with some twists and turns to keep the reader wondering what was going to happen next.

I liked Braxton and he was a tough alpha guy for sure. He wanted to protect Zoe from the moment he met her, especially when it became clear that her life was in danger.

Zoe was a great character and I loved how she was feisty and independent and hated having to rely on someone else to take care of her. I loved her innocence when she was at Verge and looking at the various rooms. I think as certain things kept happening she really realized how much danger she was in.

Their was definitely lots of chemistry between Zoe and Braxton and I liked how she gradually began to trust him more and allowed him that control over her.

I liked how the pieces of the puzzle came out with help from others and they figured out who was working for the bad guys. It isn't over yet so I am curious to see where the series goes!
