Beckett Meyers is a snowboarder who broke his arm at the Winter Classics and is now staying in Chicago with his best friend Skylar Walsh. Beckett did not have an easy go growing up and stays as far away from relationships as he possibly can. He has feelings for Skylar but doesn't believe that he is good enough for her.
Skylar Walsh has always been there for Beckett but lately she has decided that she wants more and if Beckett isn't prepared to give it to her then she will go elsewhere. Soon Skylar begins to go out on dates and Beckett is left wondering where he fits in.
Will Beckett realize how he feels about Skylar before he loses her completely?
This has been such a great series and this was a book I was definitely looking forward to!
I really liked Beckett but I wanted to smack him upside the head as he was letting his past control his future and his excuses were because he was a foster kid whose parents did not want him. He wanted Skylar but was also afraid to lose her friendship yet his actions caused him to lose her completely.
Skylar knew what she wanted in one sense but she was torn about her future and whether she wanted to go to school or compete for another 4 years. She was beautiful and had no shortage of men who wanted to date her, even if it wasn't the one she wanted.
For awhile things got super tense and I was hoping that Beckett would come to his senses but it was a heck of a journey getting there!
I am super sad that these books are over and I look forward to what the authors have for us next!!
