My review of My Sister's Flirty Friend by Piper Rayne

Jed Greene is the oldest of Marla's kids and owns Truth or Dare Brewery with his step-brother. When Jed learns he is a father to 3 year old Emilia, his world flips upside down and he struggles with becoming a single father.

Molly Monroe is a bartender at Truth or Dare and is also going to school to be a speech therapist. She has always had a crush on Jed but being best friends with his younger sister, Nikki, put a damper on anything every happening.

As Jed struggles with being a single father he begins a no-strings relationship with Molly in secret. Yet can he handle the pressure of hiding what they are doing along with juggling the rest of his life?

This is another great book in the series and I love this family!

Jed is a great character but a well known-womanizer with a reputation. Nobody is really surprised when they learn about Emilia. One thing I did really like was that the book looked at the struggles that both Jed and Emilia were going through and I thought that was super important and realistic. Jed looks like a huge jerk for most of the book as he really struggled with asking for real help with how to be a parent.

Molly herself grew up with a horrible reputation due to her mom and an incident in high school. Yet she found it easier to be who everyone thought she was instead of being herself. My heart did break a little for her in that regards as she seemed to have little real self esteem. I was proud of her for going to school to make something of herself although she was struggling with the time to get it all done.

There was so much chemistry between Jed and Molly and had been from the moment the first two met. Yet reputations and friendships kept the two apart for years. I was mad at Molly for giving into Jed as I knew how much she wanted more from him but she seemed to be ok with settling for less.

I was so mad at Jed several times in the book, but especially when Molly was trying to help Emilia with what she was going through. Both Lucy and Ethel knew how much Molly could help Emilia but Jed just couldn't get it.

I was happy when Jed finally got his head on straight and talked to the specific people he had to about what he wanted in life.

The end made me so happy and I did a little dance!

The very end with Fisher was super interesting and I am curious to see where everything is headed!

4.5 Stars
