My review of Some Trust Can Be Rebuilt by Jane Blythe

Mia Taylor-Black is the head of Search and Rescue in River's End and is searching for a missing child but feels like she is being watched.

Deputy Sheriff Julian Black has never gotten over Mia even though they split 18 months ago after she was being stalked as the two struggled to get over the events of the past. Yet now he is ready to prove his love to her again.

As Mia and Julian try to figure out their relationship they must also deal with the children who keep going missing and find out who is behind it. Every time Mia goes out she feels like someone is watching her but she knows she has a job to do.

Can Julian and Mia find out who is behind everything before Mia finds herself a victim once more?

This is another great book in the series with some wonderful twists that make certain things feel like they came out of nowhere.

I liked Mia and knew why she struggled with the events of her past and also how to deal with her current relationship with Julian. It was interesting how as certain things unfolded she still didn't open up to Julian or question him about certain things which would have made things happen a little faster.

Julian struggled with letting Mia down with events from the past but really realized that he loved her and needed to be back in her life and was willing to do everything he could to prove it to her. I liked that Julian wanted to be with her while out searching but after a certain attack he began to get worried about Mia's safety.

I was happy when Mia and Julian began to make progress on the case but soon they discover things aren't what they though they were. I was very happy that Abe was the one who began to think outside the box and lead everyone in a different way. My heart broke for Mia and the stuff she had to go through out of revenge and jealousy.

I felt awful for Mia but I was very happy that her dad helped her think in a different way and let Julian back in! Julian made me so happy with his actions the moment he saw Mia again!!

4.5 Stars
