Rad Wellington is a divorce lawyer and one of the most eligible bachelor's and keeps on winning awards. Yet he has had a crush on one of his friends for 7 years and has kept it from everyone.
Tealey Bell works with those less fortunate and wants to do everything she can to help a client, even asking Rad to represent her to give her the best chance.
When Tealey is forced to move, Rad suggests that she move in with him as friends. But as things begin to take a turn between Tealey and Rad, a secret he is keeping may result in him losing everything.
This is another great book by the author.
I thought Rad was a good character and I liked how he helped Tealey out with a place to live. I also understood why he eventually agreed to help out their friend Marlow but I knew it would end up causing huge problems for him in the end.
I loved Tealey and her desire to help people the best she could. She wasn't from a "rich" upbringing and didn't seem to have any real baggage and lived her life true to herself which I admired. She was also very low maintenance and she didn't expect anything, especially handouts.
I was happy when things began to change between Rad and Tealey but I knew that things would get complicated unless Rad was open with her.
I really didn't like Marlow and found her very self-centered. She wanted her dad to give her certain things and wasn't worried about who got caught in the cross-fire. I knew she was close to Tealey but she still didn't seem to care much about anyone but herself.
I was not shocked at all when everything went sideways and my heart broke for Tealey. I knew that this was going to make another decision about her job easier to make but I was still so mad. I was glad when Rad finally straightened everything out but he had a lot of work to do!
The end was great and it will be interesting to see what comes about in the next book!
