Grace McMullen has never forgiven herself for breaking her ex-boyfriend, Sutton Whitlock's heart. Now she has returned to her hometown where he has now moved with his new wife and child to make amends.
Yet everything is not as she thinks it should be and could Sutton have changed so much? His new wife, Campbell, has an uncanny resemblance to Grace and his daughter is even named Grace. Can Grace save his new wife and as much as she is watching over Campbell, is someone watching Grace?
This was a good book with some really interesting twists and turns to make you rethink everything.
Grace was an interesting character as she had a very difficult upbringing and there was so much drama from her own life that she felt like there was no way she was ever going to be able to have a normal relationship. She was so worried and hurt from things that happened in the past that she left it consume her present and she didn't like people getting close to her.
I really think that Grace had the right intentions with wanting to make things right with Sutton but after meeting Campbell she altered her plans with thinking something was happening to Campbell.
At the same time Grace was trying to sort out things from her own past and come to terms with everything and it was interesting as she began to finally get answers that she needed to make peace with herself.
I wasn't surprised at all with how the relationship between Grace and Campbell progressed and I was shocked at some of the developments. It was almost that Grace began to get the answers she needed and therefore found a kinship with Campbell that she felt like she had been missing.
The end began to get super tense and I was very surprised at how things went. I was shocked at what went down and then relieved for how it ended but a little bit sad for one character.
I was happy where things ended for Grace with her discovering what was most important to her.
