My review of Savage Sinner by Kristen Luciani

Anya is an assassin for her Uncle Boris who is trying to reclaim his spot within the Volkov Bratva. Her brother Maks was killed and all Anya knows is that the Villiani family was responsible. Yet before she can exact her revenge on them, she must first kill the man standing in her Uncle's way.

Dante Villiani has been a bodyguard for his sister-in-law, Heaven, and her daughter Aisling. He is not loving the Vegas lifestyle but has been picking up side jobs here and there while still trying to keep his eye on his brother-in-law, Conor Mulligan who is still making mistakes while running his family business.

When circumstances lead to Anya and Dante's paths crossing several times their chemistry is intense but Anya has a job to do and can't let her heart get in the way. Yet how far is Anya prepared to go when she sees a different side of Dante?

This is another great book in the series and I really hope that the author moves onto Patrick next!

Anya is a good character but I felt like she was truly being used by her Uncle to do all of his dirty work without really getting the truth behind everything. She did everything that was requested of her and I could tell that he wasn't telling her the truth behind most of it. She was definitely good at her job but she was also very focused on revenge.

Dante was the dutiful brother and there for Matteo as nobody knew what Conor was going to do and because of the line of work that they were in. He had an amazing bond with both Heaven and Aisling and knew he would do whatever he could to protect them.

There was so much chemistry and intensity from the first moment that Anya and Dante met and even the second encounter provided just as much without someone realizing. Both Dante and Anya had jobs to do so both were hesitant to act on how they felt but at the same time they had a hard time staying away from each other.

I was happy when Anya finally got told the truth but by then it was almost too late to make up for what had happened. I was surprised when she met her Uncle and who else was there as I knew it was not going to be good for her. I was glad that she came clean but by then other things had occurred.

The roof was intense and I think Anya made amends with everyone with her actions.

I was super happy with how everything ended except I thought Boris got more than he deserved.

4.5 Stars
