My review of Break by Anna Brooks

Brody Bradford's line turned upside down when he was shot in the line of duty and now his leg is held together with pins and rods. He doesn't want to return to his job at Royal Ace Security as he feels like he will never be 100% and doesn't want to jeopardize anyone's life if he is not in the condition he should be. He makes the tough decision to head home and get physio there and help his dad out as a car mechanic.

Molly Rae-Lynn Ryder is best friends with Brody's younger brother, Baker, but after trying to put flea medication on someone else's cat she finds herself in jail. Unfortunately her family thinks she needs to be taught a lesson but Brody comes to her rescue.

Brody and Molly have a past and Molly is ready for a future but Brody doesn't as too much is at stake. Unfortunately neither can deny their chemistry but soon it's clear that Brody's not the only one interested.

Can Brody keep Molly safe when he is doubting himself so much in his recovery?

This is another great book in the series and I have to go back to make sure that I've read them all!

I really like Brody and I understood why he felt like he could no longer do a good job with Royal Ace. He was so caught up with what he lost that he struggled to find a future and knew he needed a break from it all. I liked that he headed home as it gave him a different purpose.

Molly was awesome and I loved that she really was doing the right thing which just kept landing her in trouble. I admit her way of doing things wasn't always right but she had the best intentions. I liked her farm and how much she loved her animals. I knew that she was too trusting and that could get her into trouble but she was also from a small town where she didn't really think crime happened.

There was so much chemistry between Brody and Molly and I really wanted things to happen between them but I got why Brody was hesitant. Brody was so protective over Molly and I had a feeling at who was behind everything.

I was happy when things began to come out in the open but I felt bad for who was caught in the middle because of their own feelings for Molly.

I was a little surprised at who else was involved but I was glad that Beau and Brody were able to figure everything out in time. I loved how everything went down though as it got Brody back what he was missing - confidence!!

I can't wait to see what's to come with Molly's brothers and also with Brody's new job!!

4.5 Stars
