My review of Savage by Tracy Lorraine

Ethan Savage believes he has it all until his world is shaken with an announcement from his father that leaves him reeling and very angry. With his dad leaving town again he takes his anger out on the one person who is left with him.

Raelynn is shocked at how quickly her mother has uprooted her this time but even more surprised when she goes away almost instantly leaving her in a new town pretty much by herself. She has no desire for the world she has been brought into and has no idea why she is hated so much by Ethan.

With Ethan consistently tormenting Raelynn will she be able to cope with the stress of the situation and will Ethan realize in time that Rae is innocent in all of this before things completely spiral out of control?

This is another great book in the series with another story with the two main characters as enemies and slowly morphing into something different.

Ethan was such a tower of strength in the other books and he had the house that the other two guys were jealous of but in this book everything has fallen apart for Ethan and he has a lot of anger which to me made sense. I also understood why he was angry at Rae and I do think although it wasn't justified, it made sense. His dad pretty much dropped Rae off and then left which just shocked the heck out of me being a parent. Yet Ethan was alone a lot in the previous two books as well so it didn't surprise me.

Raelynn was an outsider that was used to keeping to herself because of how her mom lived and went from relationship to relationship and they never seemed to stay in one place very long. Rae had no desire to get close to anyone this time as she knew she wouldn't be there for long. I think she was initially shocked at how Ethan treated her as she felt like she was innocent in all of this and she knew she had to keep away from him.

There was definitely chemistry between Rae and Ethan but there was so much hatred mixed in with it that you were never quite sure how far things would go and how intense things would get. I was so mad at Ethan several times for what he did to Rae because you could tell that he never wanted anyone else near her. When Ethan discovers something about Rae's past everything shifts and it pretty much destroyed him due to some other events. I thought that this could be the time for a shift with everything.

My heart broke for Rae one night at work and so much changed in that instant. Yet the morning brought something else and my heart broke a little for Ethan knowing how sincere he was. It made me happy when she realized his words were true!

The end was super awesome and I'm glad everything ended the way it did and I am super curious to see if the next book involves Chelsea and Shane!

5 Stars
