Sutton Prescott is a senator's daughter and must present the best of everything in order not to tarnish her father, Baron's image. When she and her best friends, Aubrey and Piper, have a tea reading she learns that her love will end tragically but that she can save him.
Calder Wolfe is from the wrong side of the tracks and his father, Tyler, is a sworn enemy to Baron Prescott. Yet that doesn't deter Calder from wanting Sutton from the first moment he sees her before he knows who she is.
Soon Calder and Sutton find themselves in a forbidden romance and walking a dangerous line as the odds are much higher than either one could have possibly imagined.
OMG!!!! This book was an absolutely incredible story that left me with my jaw on the ground and needing to know what is going to happen.
From the moment that Sutton's leaves are read you know that this is going to be a ride of emotions but you keep flipping the pages. Sutton is a good girl who is living in a beautiful house but you can tell that everything is not as it seems as Sutton is controlled by her parents and it feels like an "empty" house. Sutton's parents want her with Hunter Kelly as it will be good for the family but soon we see another side of him.
Calder is the "bad boy" growing up under his father, Tyler, who is more of a tyrant and vicious. Yet we see another side of Calder whenever he is with Sutton and that has you really rooting for him although you can see what he is up against. I love his relationship with his "brothers" Roman and West and how close he and Roman really are. All Calder wants to do his protect them and Sutton and will do what it takes.
I love Calder and Sutton's relationship as they see each other for who they truly are and not what everyone wants them to be. There wasn't anything that they wouldn't do for the other. I loved it and how they made each other really happy.
The end left me with my jaw completely on the ground and screaming noooooooo!!
I need to know what happens asap as my heart can't take it!!
5 Stars
