Andrew Christiansen is the CEO of Christiansen Wealth Management, a billion dollar company. He has been focused on the company while his brother Nick has found true love and settled down with Natalie. His mom, Cookie, has given him an obscure list of things he needs to accomplish in New York and he reluctantly begins to do the items.
Juniper "Juni" Jacobs is a "dog walker" for one of her neighbors but she works for a temp agency as she likes to go from job to job without being tied down to a specific place where she could end up getting attached. She is good at guarding her heart but is a great employee and extremely efficient.
When Juni and Andrew meet in a non-typical way at the park and then later at a coffee shop, Andrew refers to Juni as a stalker but eventually the two form a friendship.
Unfortunately as Andrew and Juni begin to get closer secrets are being kept which could result in them both losing what they don't realize they want the most.
This is another great book by a great author! I always get excited for books by S.L. Scott and I loved that they brought the Everest brothers back a little in here!
Andrew was extremely hard working and was focused on the families company and making sure it got stronger. He was a rule follower and had no time for relationships and had recently moved to New York to help settle the new office and get it up running. He really didn't want to work on the list that his mom gave him but knew he'd never hear the end if he didn't.
Juni was a great character who had secret upon secret and was so guarded do the events from her past. She clung onto what was familiar to her and never wanted to let anyone into her heart after losing so many people that were close to her. She didn't want to stay in any job too long as she found that she wanted to leave people and not have them leave her.
I laughed pretty hard after the meeting between Juni and Andrew and Rascal. But I felt like Andrew totally pushed it by calling Juni as a stalker and I got why she kept one really big secret from Andrew. Then when the next huge "coincidence" started I just kept laughing and I wondered how awkward things were going to get.
Once Juni and Andrew gave in to their attraction I knew things were going to get intense and sooo good!!! I thought it was interesting how Andrew still really didn't believe in "fate" yet Juni seemed to and Cookie definitely did. There were so many moments that I wondered when certain truths would be revealed as things were only going to come out on someone else's terms and it wasn't going to be good.
My heart broke for Andrew with what was going on at work and I felt terrible for what he was going through as I knew it was something he didn't want to do but he felt like he had no other choice. I was glad that Cookie came to the rescue once again!
The end was really good and I liked the talk that Andrew and Mr. Clark had and how it came full circle in the end. It made me super happy!!
The very end was awesome and I loved how things finally worked out for Juni with the garden and her ex. I loved what Andrew had the courage to do to take another item off of his list!
