CLASSIC GRILLED CHICAGO HOT DOG

Mik and I were ready for another Hot Dog night and I must admit that it is tricky to find one that looks appealing as some of the recipes out there look somewhat frightening.

This was one that we didn't exactly follow as first of all it was cold and rainy so I had no desire to go outside and use the BBQ to get the grilled taste. Second of all - neither of us like tomatoes so I decided to skip that part which is probably breaking every Chicago Hot Dog law out there. We also skipped on making the bun from scratch as well, there are certain nights where I truly just want easy.

I did use the pickle spear, relish, onions, and pepperoncini but then completely forgot the celery salt. I really did like the hot dog and I think that the pickle was a neat extra touch that I will have to do again. I also enjoyed the pepperoncini. Mik said the hot dog was ok but her normal is ketchup unless it is one of our special nights!
