My review of Surrender by Amy Daws

Gareth Harris plays for Manchester United and is an all-star defender. He grew up with a professional soccer player father until his mom got sick and his dad gave up playing until he began to manage the careers of his four sons. Gareth has a difficult relationship and chooses to play for Manchester knowing how much it frustrates his father.

Sloan Montgomery knew her marriage wasn't perfect but was still shocked to discover her husband cheating on her and subsequently asking for a divorce. Now she is struggling wih only having 50% custody of her daughter and needs some control of her life.

Sloan is Gareth's clothing designer and although he knows nothing about her personal life, he knows she is hurting and offers her an outlet. Soon the two begin a physical relationship with the agreement that it be nothing more than sex with Sloan having control.

But what happens when secrets are revealed and one of them realizes they need more?

This book is so good although the cliffhanger leaves you in such an OMG state!!

I absolutely loved Gareth and want a guy like him in my life! He was so awesome with Sloan and let her get all of the control that she needed in her life. It broke my heart to learn more about his background and what he went through as a child, especially his last time with his mom. He was loyal and so amazing!!

Sloan was hurting so much from what happened with Callum and from everything that had happened in the past with Sophia. I was so mad at Callum and his mom for leaving Sloan in a bad place and not caring what happened with her. I understood why she needed to regain something back which she was able to do with Gareth!

The scenes between Sophia and Gareth were absolutely steamy and sizzling!!  I loved how amazing he was with her and I loved how nervous she was with everything to begin with.

The twists and turns were awesome but my heart did break a few times for Gareth.

The end was such a shocker and I need the next book now!!!

5 Stars
