My review of The Promise of Everything by Blaire Broderick

Sophie Salinger had a tough go the past few years but has finally found herself on the upswing put she goes to a counselor called Dr. Strong. She has a brain aneurysm and has a 20% chance of survival provided that she can get into a specialist. In the meantime she works at Beacon Art Supplies and loves to paint.

Jamison Garner is infatuated with his "painter" girl who lives across from him. When he rescues her from a fall the two meet and sparks fly.

But soon Sophie and Jamison realize that their budding relationship has a huge roadblock and the two must choose between love and careers. Will Sophie let Jamison risk it all when there is a chance she may not even survive?

This was such a good book and I really enjoyed it. This is the first book I have read by this author and it won't be my last.

I loved Sophie and may heart was so broken for what she was going through. I knew more was going to be revealed as the book went on and my heart broke further when more things were revealed and we understood where the guilt came from.

Jamison was interesting and I knew things were going to come to a head with his career. I had a feeling about his past personal life was going to be revealed and I was right! I liked Jamison and I knew how much he cared about Sophie and you saw how much he did for her.

I knew there was going to be a big conflict and I was curious to see how everything was going to happen. I hated the person who caused all of the issues as they were being selfish and had no clue of the consequences. I was also curious about what was going to happen with Sophie's health as she needed someone with skill and knowledge.

I loved the chemistry and friendship between the two of them but I was completely freaking out towards the ending with the different directions that Jamison and Sophie were headed.

The end was great and I really need more of this series!

4 Stars
