My review of The Best Of Us by Kennedy Fox

Kendall Montgomery is best friends with Cami St. James and there isn't anything that she wouldn't do in order to make her up-coming honeymoon a huge success. Kendall is even willing to travel out of town to Cami's family cabin to get it all ready for Cami and her fiancé, Eli, to make sure it is decorated and completely stocked with all of Cami's favorite treats.

Ryan St. James is Cami's older brother and a doctor who has stayed away from his family's fame and fortune as he can. After working through the pandemic he is ready for a small break although he is not looking forward to being stuck with Cami's best friend, Kendall, who is another spoiled rich girl who isn't doing anything with her life.

Yet the sexual tension between Kendall and Ryan is through the roof and when the two get snowed in at the cabin can they form a truce between them? When everything heats up between the two of them are they looking for a temporary thing while they are snowed in or are they each looking for more?

This was another awesome book filled with so many laughs and so many moments when you need a fan to cool down!!!

I loved Kendall and I especially loved that there was so much more to her than anyone really knew as she kept her life private and out of the media. She helped others as that's what she truly loved doing and didn't seek out recognition for it. I loved how long she had a crush on Ryan for and how she also knew he had walls built up around him that were going to be very difficult to access.

Ryan was a little more complicated as he carried a lot of internal baggage. Many of his issues stemmed from everything he had gone through with the pandemic and also his love of being a doctor and putting that first above everything else, including previous relationships, like Rachelle. He really wanted to hold Kendall at a distance and not let her get close but as he began to really get to know her, he saw how much more there was to her.

I was pretty happy when things began to heat up between the two of them and this couple was so HOT!!!! The scenes in this book definitely require a fan beside you.

I felt bad for Kendall every time Rachelle would call or message as she was struggling to find where she stood in Ryan's life. I was definitely worried for when the two returned back to town and things kinda went how I thought they were going to.

All of the events that happened before and during the wedding between Kendall and Ryan made me so frustrated and upset for Kendall. I was totally on team Kendall although I knew Ryan didn't mean for certain things to happen. The stuff Ryan said to Eli made me so mad and I was happy that Kendall did what she did.

I was freaking out a little when Piper revealed her news to Kendall and I thought maybe that Kendall was going to get hurt in the process but things didn't go that way.

The New Year's Eve party was awesome as things finally got out in the open and then I did my happy dance!!

The end was awesome and I love what's coming with Piper!!
