My review of Forever Christmas - The Second Season

I just love this second series and another chance at getting to know the ladies from Forever Christmas even more!! I truly hope that this series goes on for many more years to come!

Christmas Ivy by Joanne Jaytanie

Juliet is about to be married to Colton Weatherly and is finding that they are so busy at the Tree Farm that they need some outside help, yet it's not quite in the budget to do so but fate comes their way with an opportunity to work with ladies from the Life Bridges Program who are needing a second chance.

Ivy Harper really needs a chance at starting over after a spell of bad luck has really headed her way. She is offered a chance with the Life Bridges program and knows if she can stick it out for six months it will really help her.

Mason Weatherly, Colton's brother, is at the top of his field working as a surgeon in the Department of Internal Medicine in Seattle, yet knows he is missing something. When he goes to visit Colton he meets Ivy who he really wants to get know better, yet she is holding back.

Will Ivy believe that she has a chance with Mason or will her belief that he is out of her league jeopardize any chance at happiness?

I loved this book!! I love Ivy and the fact that she truly deserves a second go at making herself more successful as it is no fault of her own that she is struggling. I think it is such an eye-opener to see Ivy's situation as it really shows how the world has gotten so out of reach for many people just trying to make a go of it.

Mason is great and I like that he is trying yet understand where Ivy is coming from! I love all the girls on the tree farm and truly love this second series and really hope that there is a third!

Christmas Treasure by Angela Ford

Annie and Ryder Harris have just gotten married and Annie needs some extra help with her flower shop with everything she has on the go.

Noelle Matheson has been paired up with Annie and although she is friendly, Annie knows that she is hiding something from her. Noelle is trying to escape her past and feels that someone is watching her, but doesn't know who.

Annie introduces Noelle to Ashton and both have had broken hearts before but maybe both are ready to move on with a relationship together. Yet, the past keeps sneaking up and it is more dangerous than anyone suspected and is linked to the Tree Farm.

Will Noelle and Ashton have a chance at a happy ending?

I loved this book and how involved Annie and Ryder are in the book as I loved them the first time. Yet, the story still focuses on Noelle and what she has gone through and whether she will open up enough to let love in again. Amazing book on second chances!

Just Before Christmas by Karen Hall

Miranda Davis constantly has nightmares from her relationship with Peter Archangeli that left her scared and him free to walk the streets while she had to start over after her name was tarnished by his family. Ready for that second chance she agrees to take the Life Bridges program with Forever Christmas and is assigned to work with Liz Hall, the Director of Activities for the Glenville Ski Resort.

Joel Stinson has left his job with a police department and applied for a job with Colton after a shooting had left him in therapy for 6 months for his shattered leg. He is immediately attracted to Miranda but sees her hesitancy when he mentions his former profession.

As the two begin to talk, will Miranda learn to trust Joel and when the past comes back, will she have learned to put her trust in the right person?

I love Miranda and can't imagine what she went through, yet is seems to be a truth in that sometimes connections will let you get away with things that others wouldn't. I understand why she has a hard time trusting those who were meant to protect her and am glad that she is able to gradually learn to trust again!

I really love this series as it really shows women who truly deserve a second chance!

Sadie's Santa by Jackie Marilla

Sadie Wilden has a 3 month old daughter she is unable to see due to her ex, Don Victorino, trying to kill her. She is given an opportunity at Forever Christmas and knows that this is the chance she needs to get her life on track and get Marie back.

Gustav Sadler is disappointed when his editor assigns him a job covering Forever Christmas and is intrigued on why Lindsay insists that no pictures are taken of any of the ladies from the Life Bridges program. He is very curious about Sadie and is very attracted to her.

When he begins digging into Sadie's past will he discover what she has hidden or will it cost him any chance he had with her?

This was such a heartbreaking story as a mother. I felt so upset for Sadie and I really wanted her to get a happy ending as she truly deserved one. I couldn't imagine being forced to stay away from my child, yet at the same time I would do it if it meant keeping her safe.

Initially I wasn't a fan of Gus as I really thought his carelessness was going to hurt the girls. I began to warm up to him when I could see that he generally cared for Sadie and would do anything to make her happy!!
