Desperate times call for daring measures.
At least that’s what I tell myself for packing up and hitting the road with America’s newest and most popular rock band, The Oppressors. The lanky tattooed men are suspicious. Before I stepped on the bus with them, they’ve always made me nervous.
Something’s not adding up, though. There are strange events I’m noticing around them.
What happens when I figure out what I’m dying to know?
This is a dual POV steamy vampire romance standalone that centers around bonds of love and friendship. 18+ dark, explicit sexual scenes, and lots of blood.

- The hazy, vacant stare of the woman in their dressing room.
- And the blood on her shirt.
- The beat less sound of Liam’s heart when I lay my head on his chest.

He tapped his ear. What? Why was he tapping his ear? I rubbed mine, trying to figure out what he tried to tell me. Then he touched his chest and patted it. He tapped his shirt for every time he moved his lips and my eyes widened. Thump. Thump. Thump. I swore he mouthed those words to me before going out on the part of the stage that wasn’t veiled. The crowd went berserk.
Realization flamed my cheeks. I dropped my hands to my sides and made them into fists. I hated that he knew how nervous him, and his band made me. It wasn’t an attraction to them. It was the unknown, and I was beginning to suspect that was why they teased me so much. They could see that I was weirdly afraid around them.
How frustrating.
But when the band started up, every molecule inside me swayed to the sound the three of them made together. Chaotic, erotic. They were something new to music entirely.
The pounding of Steve’s drums hit before Liam struck his electric guitar, then Pete added the bass.
(Liam)
Dead eyes, dead smile,
Marilyn’s been a corpse for a while.
Cold touch, sharp fangs,
She stole my heart’s beat with all her guile.
Dead limbs, dead heart.
Marilyn made a devil out of me.
Dead man, dead man,
Dead man, dead man.
That’s what I am, and I still wish for someone to love me.
You can be my dead girl, dead girl,
(Pete: screamo)
I’ll do you like Marilyn did me.
With our cold touch and our sharp fangs.
(Pete: screamo)
You can be my dead girl!
(Liam)
Dead man, Dead man.
You can be my dead girl, dead girl.
(Pete and Steve: screamo)
With our cold touch and our sharp fangs.
(Liam)
Please be my dead girl…
my dead girl.
I held my arms and rubbed the chill crawling up them. Why were these creepy words so alluring? Liam. His voice and the magic their loud music created enchanted me and everyone else. He was riveting.

Michelle is from a small town in Eastern Kentucky where possums try to blend in with the cats on the porch and bears are likely to chase your pets—this is very true, it happened with her sister’s dog. Despite the extra needed protection for your pets, she loves the mountains she calls home. She has a man and twin girls who are the light of her life and the reason she’s slightly crazy.
As a kid, she was that cousin, that friend, that sister and daughter, the talker who could spin a tale and make-believe into any little thing so it was no surprise when she found love in reading and figured all these characters inside her head needed an outlet. They wanted to be heard, so she wrote.
The voices keep growing faster than she gets the time to write.
The stories are never going to end. That’s perfectly okay, though. We never want to stop an adventure.
