First off this book will definitely not appeal to everyone so be forewarned!
Dahlia, 17, has never had an easy life living with her mother Annabelle who was a stripper barely making ends meet. But when Annabelle marries the powerful Irish mobster Graham Savage in order for him to obtain his green card, Dahlia knows she will have a roof over her head.
When Dahlia is caught in several compromising situations by Graham she finds out the truth on why Annabelle and Graham were married and Dahlia must decide what she wants as Graham knows what he does.
I enjoyed this book and thought it was really interesting on why Graham chose Annabelle. It was hard for Dahlia to deal emotionally with how others viewed her with everything that went on but Graham was trying to explain to her why it really didn't matter.
My view of Annabelle was not very high at all with how she treated Dahlia and never acted like a mother to her. I can understand why she was upset but some of the stuff she said to Dahlia was so hurtful and inappropriate.
Graham really protected Dahlia and had her interests in mind and wanted her safe from the way she has been brought up.
This was the first time I have read this author and I will definitely read her again.
