My review of Southern Heart by Natasha Madison

Chelsea is a nurse and has decided to come back home after some time away. Yet nothing surprises her more than opening her door to a beaten up stranger who is clinging to his life yet has the ability to mention Ethan's name first.

Mayson Carey has done everything he can to out run his past yet somehow he was found. Now he must find the strength the recover and to take care of the past before it does anything to his future.

Can Mayson keep Chelsea at a distance so she won't get caught up in everything happening with his life or will his attraction to her be too much? Will Mayson be able to keep Chelsea safe when he couldn't keep himself from getting hurt?

This was such a great book and I really love this series!

Chelsea was awesome and I loved that she has finally received her story! Her family has gone through so much in the past and I loved both her story and Ethan's and hopefully we get more! I admired her for wanting to help Mayson and heal him as she had the ability with being a nurse and it also wasn't going to attract any attention. Chelsea has a huge heart and always has known what she wanted.

Mayson was a man with a very difficult past and refused to let anyone get close to him as he wanted nothing to have the ability to hold him down and prevent him from leaving when he needed to.  He hated the idea of putting Chelsea in harm's way but he also knew he needed to regain his strength after everything he had went through. I completely understood why he had made the necessary changes to his life and I was shocked at who was responsible for it all.

There was so much chemistry between Chelsea and Mayson and some past, although from a distance. I liked how they had to gain up a trust between them and more of a grown-up friendship with everything that they had been through with Chelsea saving Mayson's life. Mayson was so protective over Chelsea but she wasn't ready for him to "shelter" her and protect her.

There was definitely an underlying presence of when something big was going to happen as you knew with everything that was going on that a certain character was not going to give up finishing off what they started at the beginning of the book. I had a feeling that Chelsea was going to be involved in some way or the other but I was anxiously turning pages to see what was going to happen!

At a certain point I knew that things were going to go sideways and I was freaking out! I hated what happened but I was so thankful for the locket!! I was also extremely grateful for Jacob!

The end made me so happy, especially the epilogues!!!

Can't wait for more!!

5 Stars
