My review of My Almost Ex by Piper Rayne

Adam Greene is shocked when his soon to be ex-wife shows up back in town after leaving him a year before without a reason and she thinks they are still happily married. Adam has finally started moving on and gotten out of his depression when his life turns upside down once more.

Lucy Davis-Greene has no recollection of any memories over the last few years and can only remember that she is married to Adam. Now she'll do whatever it takes to get her memories back but she is also struggling with finding out the person she was and the person that she seems to be now.

Can Adam find a way to help Lucy regain her memories while keeping their relationship in the past? Will Lucy figure out who has her best interests at stake and why she left Adam in the first place?

This was a book I was really looking forward to after we got a glimpse of what was coming in the last one.

I completely understood why Adam was being so standoffish towards Lucy as she had hurt him so bad and he really struggled with getting over her when he had no idea why she left. Adam still cared enough that he wanted to help her but he was worried about getting attached to her again and having his heart broken again. I loved Adam's bond with his family and even though they called him out from time to time it was still great to see how close they were.

I felt bad for Lucy at the beginning as she couldn't remember anything and then it was pretty obvious that her mom didn't want her to remember anything which I thought was pretty selfish. As Lucy began to spend more time around I began to really like her as she was willing to try anything and was open to everything. She had an innocence to her which made her different than the woman she was before.

I loved Lucy learning about parts of herself and both her and Adam figuring out what they wanted. I felt horrible for Lucy as she began to put things together and who kept the truth from her.

The end was great and I loved how Lucy was able to create a new life for herself out of her old life and her new one.

The very end was super awesome and I can't wait for Nikki's story next!!

5 Stars
