My review of Savage (The Kingwood Duet, #1) by S.L. Scott

Alexander Kingwood is 22 and feels like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders. His only light is his girlfriend, Sara Jane Grayson, but he feels like he doesn't deserve her and will only bring her down in his problems.

Alexander is set to own and run Kingwood Enterprises when his father steps down but his father has other plans. His father is evil and will destroy anything that is in his way, whether it is his son or anyone else.

Sara Jane Grayson knows how much Alexander loves her and she knows he would never hurt her on purpose but sometimes life can get complicated.

As some secrets are kept and others are revealed will it all be too much for Alexander and Sara Jane? Can they get over all of the hurdles and pain that is in front of them?

This was such a great book and I was so frustrated that I have to wait a month or so before the next one comes out!

This book has so many twists and turns and a lot of emotional pain that the characters have to deal with and come to terms with. I definitely was not expecting some of the stuff that was revealed!

Alexander was definitely a complicated character as he battled almost between two sides of himself. There was the side that he inherited from his mother and the other from his father and they were complete opposites of one another. He has been bred to be a certain way and to his father Sara Jane is a weakness that he can't afford.

Sara Jane loves Alexander with everything she has and knows the internal conflict that he faces. Yet she can't imagine living a life without him until it's clear that it may be the only way for her to find herself after some unimaginable events occur.

The love between Sara Jane and Alexander is all encompassing and strong but when certain things happen you know they need to find a way to be together but everything happening is so out of whack.

The ending was so OMFG what has the author done!! I am eagerly waiting for the next book in duet and can't wait!!
