My review of Betrayed by Rebecca Sharp

Addison Williams thought she had everything going in life until she stumbles upon something that her fiancé, Senator Mitch Arnell didn't want her to find out about. Now she has had to give up everything she has in order to start life over again but when she decides to do a spotlight on her home for women needing help her life is once again danger.

Ace Covington remembers the night he helped save Addy's life and will do everything he can to protect her but when she risks her own life he knows it's only a matter of time before her past catches up with her.

Addy knows she has feelings for Ace but with her past the last thing she wants is to get involved with another man.  Ace knows he wants Addy but how much he is willing to risk? Can Ace prove himself to Addy when her life is on the line?

This is another awesome book in the series and I was really excited for this one as I knew that Addy had a lot of skeletons in her closet and I was anxious to find out what had happened to her.

I admired Addy so much as she was a character who had fallen for "Mr. Right" to only find out he was worse than "Mr. Wrong". I couldn't imagine what she must have felt when she discovered what she did and how horrible she felt as she felt she led so many women to a really bad place. She had such good intentions and had no clue what was going on. I was shocked at what Mitch tried to do to her and I got why she needed to live her life in secret.

Ace has been a favorite of mine for awhile so I was super happy that he was finally getting a story! I love his loyalty to his friends and business and how he is always there. He has had feelings for Addy for a long time and was super against her doing something online as he knew she could be found.

There was so much chemistry between Ace and Addy but there was also a lot at stake, especially when it was clear that someone put the pieces together and discovered who she was.  I also understood why Ace needed to make sure that Addy really wanted him and that it wasn't because everything else was going on.

So I did have a guess about a link between Addy and her place and I had a feeling that was going to be a way in but I didn't see things happening the way they did. I was definitely on the right track which made me happy! Once a certain store was linked up I knew I was close.

Mitch was pure evil right from the beginning of the book after what he did to Addy and continued to do to others. I knew there was nothing he wouldn't do to make sure Addy didn't breathe a word to anyone and I hated that she felt she had to do certain things on her own.

The end was both awesome and I was glad that Addy got to see that she truly saved some women and was continuing to make a difference. I loved what Ace had Jo do!!!

I truly can't wait for the next book in the series!

5 Stars
